Yesterday my friend Christina and I attended the Purse Frame Workshop at Nicole Mallalieu Design in Brunswick. There were a total of 6 students in the class and we each got to make one purse, size of our choosing. I made the Diamond pattern purse in the class and I purchased a kit for a larger purse which I made up last night and finished off today (I altered the pattern slightly on the larger purse, so the finished purse is not as high as it should be). I am really happy with the end result! Although, I should have positioned the pattern a little better on the Owl fabric so there were less upside down Owls on the finished purse. Ohh well, you live and learn.
I would highly recommend doing the class. It is quite affordable and a purse frame kit is included in the cost, plus the tips and tricks Nicole has to offer are invaluable.
Diamond fabric is from Amitie & Owl fabric is from Kelani (I think - I purchased both from the Stitches and Craft Fair back in March and can't quite remember the details).
Yay! Lovely to see purse number 2 looking so great.
